When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials. As you use Distilo, we collect data about your reading progress, flashcard reviews, bookmarks, and learning preferences to personalize your experience.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used to:

• Provide and improve the Distilo learning platform
• Generate personalized recommendations and learning paths
• Power the spaced repetition engine (Daily Brain)
• Track your reading progress and streaks
• Send notifications you have opted into

3. AI Processing

Book analyses are generated using Claude AI by Anthropic. Audio narration is provided by ElevenLabs. Your personal reading data is not shared with these providers — only published book content is processed.

4. Analytics

We use PostHog for product analytics. You can opt out of analytics tracking through the cookie consent banner. We do not sell your data to third parties.

5. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely on Supabase (hosted on AWS) with row-level security policies ensuring you can only access your own data. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Export your learning data
• Opt out of analytics tracking
